Jakob Rosenzweig received his M.Arch from the Tulane University School of Architecture in 2007. His interdisciplinary research ties together landscape, architecture, infrastructure, and urbanism. His work has been published in architectural journals including Neutra and Domus, and in 2006, his collaborative mapping project “Exposing New Orleans” traveled the world as part of the exhibition Newer Orleans, showing at premier locations, such as the Netherlands Architecture Institute in Rotterdam.

 

Dr. Michael Blum is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Tulane University, where he teaches courses and carries out research on coastal marsh ecology, restoration ecology, evolutionary biology, and urban ecology. Prior to his appointment at Tulane, Dr. Blum completed a four-year postdoctoral fellowship with the US Environmental Protection Agency, during which he conducted research on invasive species, climate change, and land-use impacts on aquatic ecosystems. In addition to leading a research team at Tulane, Dr. Blum collaborates with architects, landscape architects, and urban planners to craft environmentally innovative and progressive designs.

 

Ritchie Katko graduated from the University of Kentucky's Landscape Architecture program in 2006. His areas of interest and expertise include stormwater planning and design, urban hydrology, ecology, and GIS-based land-use suitability analysis and planning.

 

Ross Karsen, LEED AP, received his M.Arch from the Tulane University School of Architecture in 2006. Since graduating, he has put together a portfolio of built projects, working at architecture firms, as well as at a sustainable design consultancy. His research focuses on the craftsmanship of regional, environmentally-responsible single-family homes. Ross has recently come back to New Orleans after a summer-long fellowship in Phaltan, India, where he donated his time and talents to the design of a community ashram.

 

Max Goldstein received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from Washington University in St. Louis in 2005. His expertise and interests lie in community-based landscape design with a focus on community gardens and orchards.
